It’s a Lovely Day indeed. Lovely because today I want to talk about something I never talk about here on the blog. I talk about plants quite often here. But today I am not talking about how plants can enhance your home and make it more beautiful. But about how plants (or better said: plant essences) enhance your beauty! Yup, we are talking about a plant-based beauty routine. Totally natural, totally vegan, totally amazing! Meet Lovely Day!
Lovely Day is a young Berlin based label is specialized in natural products for your skin and hair. They use botanical essences, plant oils, fruit acids – but no synthetic ingredients, animal products, or perfumes and alcohol. The result is a wonderful range of vegan beauty products which are mild on the skin and effective when used.
I discovered Lovely Day rather by coincidence. Intrigued by the products, their mission, and the packaging design (hello marketing victim), I decided to order two products. I opted for the Hyaluron + Bloom hydration nectar and the Charcoal Manuka cleansing mask. The first treatments already convinced me: A super clean feeling and a fresh and radiant skin. The idea of finding the key to your skincare routine in plants really spoke to my heart and mind. Certainly as an Urban Jungle Blogger. We also featured more about Lovely Day on Urban Jungle Bloggers. Go and have a look!
Currently I am using the Skin Rescue potion which is perfect for dry winter skin. Also I am using a few drops of the Coco Gloss hair serum. Thumbs up for all the products so far! If you are into natural skincare products and vegan cosmetics, I strongly recommend a look at Lovely Day. You won’t be disappointed! Stay natural, stay beautiful!

Hey, friends! Can you believe it? I can hardly believe it. Can you see me jumping up and down with joy? The day has finally arrived! Our little kitchen is finally done. We’ve been actually using our kitchen since Christmas Day, but there were a few snafus along the way that slowed down the actual finishing work. So […]

Country Living – David Hillegas Do you love to collect dishes? You might have seen in my “Life Lately on Instagram” post that I bought some new blue and white dishes. I’ve always collected mostly white, with the exception of some colorful mugs and salad or dessert sized plates. It is fun to have a new set […]

On blogs, on social media, on streets – everyday we celebrate the differences that define us. We dress the way we like, we listen to the music we prefer, and we watch the movies we adore. And we dwell the way we like. Our home is yet another way to highlight and celebrate the differences that make us.
If you are a regular reader of Happy Interior Blog, you know my style. It is very personal, very mixed, and pretty bohemian. Sourcing adequate home accessories would be really difficult here in Munich. But luckily I am an avid traveler and bring back lots of found items from all around the world. And I shop online. One of my ever recurring shopping sources is Etsy. And Etsy celebrates the differences too – with their #DifferenceMakesUs campaign.
When I was asked to partake in their campaign and style my bedside table with Etsy finds, I was all game. And I decided to not only put together one nightstand styling, but three. All different, but all pretty personal. And each styling with found treasures from Etsy. So let’s roll.
The Airplant Jungle
The first styling absolutely speaks to my Urban Jungle Bloggers soul. Did you know that you can buy plants too on Etsy? Well, I found some wonderful airplants from the shop Till Herba Caeli. Finally I had an excuse to use a crazy mix of bowls and vases to hold the airplants.
The Archaeologist’s Nightstand
Oh my love for archaeology is unrivaled. I almost studied archaeology, but when I ended up studying international economics I decided to go to Greece for a year of studies. On Etsy I found a wonderful shop selling handmade replica of Greek ancient busts and artifacts. The head of Hygeia, the goddess of health, is the work of the seller GreekAncientCosmos.
The Bohemian Shrine
Crystals, dried flowers, scented candles – they all call my name. Instead of having all crystals scattered around, I looked for a nice way to display them. The solution is this bohemian wooden triangle shelf by LoveLifeWood. Additionally, I got my fingers on a wonderful handmade cup by LAccentNou (I saw the cup for the first time on JOELIX.com).
So what is the styling of your choice? Or better yet: What difference makes you?
This blogpost is created in collaboration with Etsy Germany. As always all opinions and photos are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands who support this blog!
